Section 1 — AI Systems Used by Lean$tock

1.1 Primary AI Provider

Lean$tock exclusively uses Anthropic's Claude API to power all AI features. Anthropic, PBC is a US-based AI safety company headquartered in San Francisco, California.

1.2 Web Search Tool Integration

Certain AI features (liquidation plan generation when no company rules are defined, and compliance checking) use Anthropic's web search tool, which allows the AI to retrieve real-time publicly available information — including UAE regulatory databases and market pricing — to supplement its responses.

Section 2 — AI Features and Data Flows

2.1 Liquidation Plan Generation

When you trigger "Generate Plan," the Service retrieves your aging-stock items, constructs a structured prompt, and submits it to the Anthropic Claude API. Where no Company Plan rules exist, the AI additionally performs web searches to retrieve current UAE market channel and pricing information.

Data sent to Anthropic: Product names, SKUs, categories, brands, quantities, cost prices, selling prices, classification, days unsold, days to expiry. Company Plan rules and company profile may be included as context. Maximum 12 items per AI call.

2.2 AI Compliance Checking

When you trigger a compliance check, the Service submits product names, categories, and descriptions to the Anthropic Claude API with web search enabled. The AI checks against Dubai Municipality, ESMA, UAE Federal Law, and Dubai Customs requirements.

2.3 AI Advisor (Inventory Chatbot)

The AI Advisor transmits a summary of your current upload (aggregate aging stock value and count — not item-level detail) plus your typed message to the Anthropic Claude API. Conversation history is maintained within the browser session only and is NOT stored server-side between sessions.

• Financial records beyond cost and selling prices of inventory items

Section 3 — AI Data Processing and Retention

3.1 Anthropic's Data Handling

Data submitted to the Anthropic Claude API is processed by Anthropic subject to their Privacy Policy and Usage Policy. Under Anthropic's current API terms, data submitted via the API by business customers is NOT used to train Anthropic's base models.

3.2 Lean$tock's AI Output Storage

Section 4 — AI Limitations and Disclaimers

• Hallucinations: Large language models can produce plausible-sounding but factually incorrect outputs.
• Market data may be outdated: Even with web search, AI may retrieve incomplete or dated market information.
• AI does not have legal expertise: Compliance check results are not produced by qualified UAE lawyers or regulators.
• Limited context: The AI generates recommendations based on a subset of your inventory (up to 12 items).

Section 5 — Human Oversight and Automated Decisions

5.1 No Binding Automated Decisions

Lean$tock does not make any legally or commercially binding decisions about you or your business using automated means alone. All AI outputs are advisory, human-reviewable, and revocable.

5.2 Your Role as Human Reviewer

You are the decision-maker. By using AI features, you confirm that you will review AI-generated outputs critically before acting, verify factual claims through independent sources, and accept sole responsibility for business decisions informed by AI outputs.

Section 6 — AI and Your Data — Training Policy

6.2 Anthropic's Training Policy

Under Anthropic's current API terms, data submitted via the Anthropic API by business customers is not used to train Anthropic's base models. Review Anthropic's current policy at anthropic.com/legal/privacy.

Section 7 — Cross-Border AI Processing

All AI inference processing occurs on Anthropic's infrastructure located in the United States. By using AI features, your inventory data excerpts are transmitted to the United States.

• EU/EEA users: Transfers to Anthropic are covered by Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs).
• UAE users: Transfers are made pursuant to contractual safeguards consistent with PDPL Article 22.

Section 8 — Your Rights in Relation to AI Processing

8.4 Right to Opt Out of AI Features

AI features are integral to the Service. If you do not wish to have your data processed by AI, you may choose not to use AI-powered features (Plan Generation, Compliance Check, AI Advisor). The non-AI features of the Service (inventory upload, action tracker, analytics, team management) remain available.

We will update this AI Disclosure when we add, change, or remove AI features; change AI providers or models; or when applicable law requires updated disclosures. Material updates will be communicated via email with at least 14 days' notice.
